IP Management
In order to communicate on the internet, it is essential to have an IP address configured on all communication devices (such as computers, printers, etc.)
(IP address format example: 147.46.245.245)
Target
- current students, professors, staff members
How to Use
Users apply for and return IP addresses directly through the website.
Important notes for applying:
- One IP address application per communication device (e.g., computer, printer) is the general rule.
- Verify the MAC address (LAN card address = Ethernet address = Physical address) of the communication device in advance.
- IP address allocation (application processing procedure): User applies → Confirmation email sent to the user’s supervisor for approval → IP address allocation → Allocation information email sent to the user → If the user replies “denied” in the approval email, the IP allocation is canceled.
Please note that this process is only available within the university campus.
Main menu
- IP Address Information Change Request: When replacing a computer (or LAN card) or changing users.
- IP Address Title Change Request: When the IP applicant graduates, retires, or is unable to change the information, the current user can request the change.
- IP Address Return Request: When you no longer use the device in question.
- View Allocated IP Addresses: Users can view a list of allocated IP addresses and detailed information.
- IP addresses that have not been used for more than one year (not connected to the network) will be subject to return processing after a one-month notice period if there is no separate request.
Please note that this process may be subject to specific policies and procedures within your institution or network.
