Computer Network Construction Agreement

The Information Technology Department is in the process of establishing procedures for early coordination with all departments within the university regarding the completion of new construction and remodeling projects for institutional buildings. This is to ensure that internet connectivity can be promptly established upon project completion. Therefore, we kindly request that each department involved in the network construction process adhere to the following guidelines from the initial stages of the project.

    (*Note: Additional adjustments to wired LAN within office spaces of existing buildings, as well as LAN cable installation, are to be independently managed by individual departments)

  • Pre-consultation application for computer network construction and connection:
    Apply via Seoul National University Portal (my.snu.ac.kr) → [SNUin Support] → [IT Services (ITSM)] → [Service Request] → [Network Services] → [Campus Computer Network Collaboration Services] → [Construction Collaboration and Computer Equipment Management Transition] (Manual Download)
  • Network Connection and Speed Check: Inspection of cable laying and labeling is possible only when the attached guide is followed (Installation Guide)
  • Network Equipment Management Transition: After the inspection is complete, if a management transition is necessary, the institution that carried out the construction through integrated administration can proceed with the transfer of computer equipment asset management to the Information Headquarters Information Support Department (Management Transition Non-Implementation Guide, Management Transition Implementation Guide, Management Transition Form)
  • Others: Application for using switch ports in equipment rooms, additional use of room LAN ports.
