Plagiarism Inspection System

The plagiarism detection system is integrated as a third-party service (using LTI) with the eLearning system (Canvas). In this system, plagiarism checks are conducted only on the attachments uploaded by learners in response to assignments created by instructors within the eLearning system. This ensures that submissions are scrutinized for originality and academic integrity, enhancing the overall quality and reliability of academic work.

Usage Method

  • Access Method : Connect to eTL (Canvas) -> Navigate to ‘Modules’ or ‘Weekly Learning’ -> Create an assignment

    * Turnitin: Under ‘Assignment Type’, select ‘External Tool’, then choose Turnitin

    * CopyKiller: Select ‘Online Submission’ for ‘Assignment Type’, then set up ‘Plagiarism Check (CopyKiller)’ at the bottom.

Current Status

  • Turnitin: An international, annual subscription-based plagiarism prevention (detection) system, primarily focused on content from overseas sources.
  • CopyKiller: A domestic, annual subscription-based plagiarism prevention (detection) system, mainly oriented towards content from local or national sources.
